Pharmacy Review Group Report

In 2001, The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) published a report called Regulatory Reform in Ireland. This work was carried out as part of the OECD’s Regulatory Reform Programme, developed to enable Governments to improve regulatory regimes. The Programme is a multidisciplinary process of reviews of individual countries. The reviews, initiated at the request of the subject country, are based on self-assessment and peer evaluation by OECD committees, OECD members and the European Commission, and target key areas for reform. All reviews follow the same format, and involve extensive consultation with stakeholders, including officials, elected representatives, business and trade union groups, consumer interests and academics.
