Fourteen principles of best practice are presented here.Their adoption will ensure that the needs of minority ethnic women who experience gender-based violence are met in a way that is inter-culturally appropriate and sensitive to a range of inter-related factors.The aim of these principles of best practice is to provide relevant services a basis on which to develop policies,guidelines and training programmes in providing an interculturally competent approach to responding to the needs of minority ethnic women.
