The Minister for Health and Children, Mary Harney, T.D., today (25th July 2007) extended her sympathies to the husband, parents and family of the late Jacqueline Rushton. Ms Harney had met with Jacqueline’s mother and sisters in late October 2005 and agreed to their request for an independent review into the circumstances leading to Jacqueline’s death.
The Minister said : “It was clear from my meeting with Jacqueline’s mother and sisters that this family had suffered a huge loss.
