Minister O´Malley congratulating the SEHB Food Control Service on receiving ISO 9001:2000
Mr Tim O´Malley, T.D., Minister of State for Food Safety in the Department of Health and Children, offers his congratulations to the South Eastern Health Board’s Environmental Health Food Control Service, on receiving a certificate of registration to IS EN ISO 9001:2000.
This new standard places a responsibility on management to utilise a series of quality management principles which are designed to continuously meet customer and other stakeholder requirements. Included in these principles are requirements that the service be customer focused, involve people at all levels, demonstrate a systematic approach to management and embrace the process of continuous improvement.
The staff in the SEHB Environmental Health Food Control Service should be justifiably proud of their achievement in becoming the first Environmental Health Food Control service to receive the award, based on a comprehensive external evaluation of service standard
