Minister expresses his regret at news of death of Ann Westby, Chief Executive of the Food Safety Authority of Ireland
The Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children with responsibility for food safety, Tim O´Malley TD, today expressed his deep regret at news of the death of Ann Westby, Chief Executive of the Food Safety Authority of Ireland.
“I met Ann shortly after her appointment as Chief Executive of the FSAI in October 2003 and was impressed by her energy and her enthusiasm for her new position. Ann´s untimely death came as a great shock to us all and is particularly sad given the time of year” the Minister said.
The Minister of State conveyed his condolences to Ms Westby´s family and colleagues.
