Minister Callely visits Meath Community Unit
Mr Ivor Callely T.D. Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children today (20 June 2003) visited the Meath Community Unit, Heytesbury Street.
The 50 bed unit provides a range of services for older people, which include, 24 hour nursing care, diversional therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, chiropody and a social work department.
Minister Callely who is the first Minister to visit the unit was Chairman of the Eastern Health Board in 1999 when the site of the former Meath Hospital was acquired.
