Minister Brian Lenihan presents ISO Accreditation Certification to the staff of Breffni Care Centre, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan
Minister Brian Lenihan, Minister of State with responsibility for Children at the Department of Health and Children, offered his congratulations to the staff of the Breffni Care Centre in Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan involved in achieving ISO Accreditation Certification.
The Minister spoke of his awareness of the effort involved in achieving ISO Accreditation and also of the benefits to both residents and staff, adding that “ISO Certification…is recognised worldwide which is a testament to the standards of excellence which must be achieved in order to qualify for this award.”
He went on to talk about the Government’s commitment and policy to maintain older people in dignity and independence at home in accordance with their wishes, and at the same time provide high quality residential care for older people when living at home is no longer possible.
The Minister praised the work of the staff at Breffni Care Centre and stated that “…the services provided by the Centre demonstrate what can be achieved through hard work and enthusiasm. All involved with the Centre are to be commended for their efforts and contribution to local community.”
Minister Lenihan concluded by congratulating the staff of the Breffni Care Centre on their achievement and their dedication to providing a quality service for older people in the West Cavan Community Care area.
