Appointment to the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland
The Minister for Health, Dr James Reilly TD has appointed Mr Jim Brophy to the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland from 17th April 2012 to 14th June 2015.
Mr Brophy graduated from Queens University Belfast with an Honours degree in Pure Mathematics. He qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 1985 and has worked as a consulting actuary in the Financial Services sector in London and Dublin for over 25 years.
In recent years he has also worked as a volunteer for the charity GOAL, and is an Accredited Commercial Mediator, mediating settlements in both business and medical negligence cases.
