Recent Appointment to the Dietitians Registration Board

Following a Public Appointment Service (PAS) advertising campaign, the Minister for Health, Simon Harris T.D., has appointed the following person as a member of the Dietitians Registration Board.  This appointment is from 22 May 2017 to 13 February 2021.

Ms Geraldine Murray

As a recently retired executive healthcare leader for 20 years, Ms Murray has gained extensive experience of corporate governance, in addition to having a record of accomplishments at both strategic and operational level within various national and international healthcare organisations. Among her more recent positions she served as Acting Chief Nurse from late 2014 to early 2016 in Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital in the United Arab Emirates. She previously held a number of senior nursing positions in hospitals in Ireland and overseas and served last year as a consultant advisor to Brindley Healthcare where she assisted in overseeing a group of private nursing homes located throughout Ireland. She is a founding member of Caring International Research Collaborative and continues to be involved both nationally and internationally in research and quality clinical care initiatives. She has also published extensively on a wide range of topics. Her academic qualifications include an MBA (Health Service Management) awarded by Smurfit Graduate School of Business, UCD/RCSI in 2000.
