Appointments to the Mental Health Commission
Following a Public Appointment Service (PAS) advertising campaign, the Minister for Health, Simon Harris TD, has appointed the following person as a member of the Mental Health Commission. This appointment is with effect from 26 September 2017 to 04 April 2022.
Ms Rowena Mulcahy
Ms Mulcahy is a practising solicitor currently working in-house with Leverick Limited and has acted as Chair to a number of Mental Health Tribunals. She was first admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland in 1981 and has over 35 year’s legal experience.
Ms Mulcahy served as a Taxing Master of the High Court from 2012 to 2017, prior to which she was Partner/Principal, Mulcahy Robinson, Solicitors (1985 – 2012) and was involved at Committee and Board level in the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (2001 – 2012).
The Minister for Health, Simon Harris T.D., has re-appointed the following person as a member of the Mental Health Commission. This appointment is for the period 26 September 2017 to 04 April 2022.
Mr Ned Kelly
Mr Kelly is a serving HSE Area Director of Nursing, Cork Mental Health. He is a representative of the Mental Health Nurse Managers Ireland; this is an association that provides managerial, educational and clinical support to senior mental health nurse managers across the Irish Mental Health Services.
