Appointment to the Radiographers Registration Board

The Minister for Health, Simon Harris T.D., has appointed the following person as a member of the Radiographers Registration Board.  This appointment is for the period 19 December 2018 to 23 January 2022.

Ms Fiona Roche

Ms Roche graduated from the University of Surrey in 1996 with a BSc (Honours) Health Science. In 2002 following a 15-year career in Nursing she was appointed Director of Nursing at the Hospital of St. John & St. Elizabeth in St Johns Wood London, one of the United Kingdom’s largest independent charitable hospitals. In 2008 Ms Roche joined the Business Development team at Sports Surgery Clinic (SSC) as National Treatment Purchasing Fund (NTPF) & Northern Ireland Co-ordinator. During this period Ms Roche helped establish the Sports Surgery Clinic as Ireland’s leading orthopaedic hospital, and in 2018 she was appointed Head of Business Development at SSC. As Head of Business Development her key duties include liaising with the National Treatment Purchasing Fund (NTPF) and Northern Ireland Health Board regarding waiting list initiatives and the tendering and setting up of contracts with the HSE and NHS. Other key duties include assisting new Sport Surgery Clinic consultants in developing their practice and marketing themselves, event planning and marketing and being a member of the hospital executive management team. In addition to her BSc, Ms Roche has a diploma in nursing and a BTEC certificate in management.
