Appointment to the Medical Scientists Registration Board
Following a Public Appointments Service (PAS) campaign, the Minister for Health, Simon Harris TD, has appointed Dr Carole Glynn to the Medical Scientists Registration Board. This appointment is with effect from 30th August 2018 until 08th November 2020.

Dr Carole Glynn started her career in 1994 as a radiographer before moving into management four years later as a Radiology Services Manager in the South-Eastern Health Board. In 2005 she took on the role of Senior Research & Information Officer, where she remained for almost a decade before moving to the Child and Family Agency as a Research and Information Manager in 2014. In 2017 Dr Glynn moved to her current role; Research & Innovation Lead in the HSE. Dr Glynn is responsible for the management of HSE eHealth innovation implementation nationally, including securing inter-agency, inter-departmental and sectoral collaboration for the deployment of digital health solutions in Ireland and for eHealth information governance, ethics and standards. As a manager of both public health and social care services Dr Glynn has gained extensive experience in the health sector.
Among her academic achievements Dr Glynn has a Master’s in Public Administration and is a Doctor of Business Administration.
Dr Glynn is currently the Chairperson of the HSE eHealth Information Governance Board and a member of the Health Innovation Hub Ireland Oversight Group. She is an adjunct lecturer in the University of Limerick and subject expert advisor to the state agency Quality and Qualifications Ireland.
