Appointment of Ms Anne Horgan to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland

Following nomination by the Health and Social Care Professionals Council (CORU), the Minister for Health, Simon Harris T.D. has appointed Ms Anne Horgan to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
Ms Anne Horgan
Ms Horgan is a registered physiotherapist, a professional member of Health and Social Care Professionals Council and held the position of Chair of the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU (2014-2018). She was a previous Board member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) professional body (1995-1996 and 2010-2012).
She has been working in the acute hospital setting since 1992. After in excess of 10 years of clinical work at the National Acute Spinals Injuries Unit, Mater Hospital, Dublin, Ms Horgan transitioned into people management and process/service improvement roles. These roles included Physiotherapy Operations Manager, Mater Hospital, Service Improvement Lead with the Ireland East Hospital Group (IEHG) and, more recently, Planning and Performance Lead, Clinical Strategy and Programmes at the Health Service Executive (HSE).
