The new children’s hospital

We are building a new hospital for the children of Ireland.

The new children’s hospital is the largest, most complex and significant capital investment project ever undertaken in healthcare in Ireland. It will bring the three existing children’s hospitals (Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin, Temple Street Children’s University Hospital, and the National Children’s Hospital at Tallaght Hospital) together into one entity on one campus, tri-located with St James’s Hospital and a planned maternity hospital.

The National Paediatric Hospital Development Board (NPHDB) is the statutory body responsible for planning, designing, building and equipping the new children’s hospital. On 10th August, the NPHDB will submit the planning application for the hospital to An Bórd Pleanála.  Information on the submission of the planning application for the new children’s hospital to An Bórd Pleanála (ABP) can be viewed here.
