The Report of the Expert Group on Mental Health Policy – A Vision for Change
A Vision for Change details a comprehensive model of mental health service provision for Ireland. It describes a framework for building and fostering positive mental health across the entire community and for providing accessible, community-based, specialist services for people with mental illness.
In addition, the Government has provided ringfenced additional funding to the HSE for mental health in line with the Programme for Government commitment. A new HSE Mental Health Directorate was established in 2013, with full financial and operational responsibility for the delivery of A Vision for Change.
