Public Consultation – Development of a National Maternity Strategy
Update: The National Maternity Strategy Creating a Better Future Together, 2016-2026, was launched on 27th January 2016. The Strategy was informed by the 1,324 validated responses received in response to this consultation process.
The Department of Health is developing a National Maternity Strategy, which will seek to ensure that women in Ireland have access to safe, high quality maternity care in a setting most appropriate to their needs. It is intended to publish the strategy later this year.
To inform the development of the strategy, the Department is interested in receiving the views of the public in relation to maternity services. Views can be submitted using the online questionnaire below.
The questionnaire will remain open until 5pm on Wednesday 15 July. Late or anonymous submissions will not be accepted. Any queries should be submitted by email to email@example.com.
All submissions received by the Department are subject to the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act, 2014 and may be released in response to an FOI request. The Department publishes responses to FOI requests online.
